The thing about following the ketogenic diet is that you learn to tell the difference between hunger cravings and true hunger, like when your empty stomach growls telling you it’s time to eat. I still remember and still have strong cravings for sweet tasting foods after I’ve eaten sugar or carbs and am amazed how now I only eat when it’s time to refuel, even if it’s late at night. Because refueling for the sake of regaining and sustaining health is what’s most important. And eating healthy, nutrient rich foods is what matters.
